This article gives instructions on how to set up recipes in DG15 software for preset properties based on garments.

Foundations are revered as the core piece or the base of every good project, building, or relationship.  When building a design for embroidery the case remains the same.  This comes into play when you are handed a garment picked by the customer and you now need to customize your embroidery design around that garment. This seems as though it should be a simple task, one that for any digitizer would be no problem.  That is, until it is a garment or textile that you have never worked with before and are unsure of where to begin.

Tajima DG15 by Pulse offers a design wizard that allows the user to set up a design page by using, what are dubbed as recipes. Each recipe is specifically tested and setup for an array of garments and textiles that are commonly encountered when digitizing for embroidery.  Utilizing the Design Wizard and Recipes in DG15, provide a list of substrates to choose from that contain predetermined settings giving the user a foundation to work from.

What settings do the recipes affect you ask? Tajima DG15 by Pulse has set the recipes to hit all the main properties that you would change depending on the garment such as, density, pull compensation, and underlay.  These components are important elements when creating not just a successful design but a one that possesses quality and style.  Once a recipe is chosen Tajima DG15 by Pulse gives you the ability to not only adjust the properties while using the style but also allows you to save those settings for later use!
